Eid al-Adha

Definition :
 

     Eid al-Adha is an Islamic holiday. On that day the events commemorated the sacrifice, that is when Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail to Allah, and finally later replaced by Allah with the sheep.
 
     On this holiday, Muslims gathered in the morning and do shalad Eid together in the field, such as when to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. After prayers, conducted animal slaughter Qurban, to commemorate the commands of Allah to Ibrahim who slaughtered sheep in lieu of his son.

      Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th of the month Dzulhijjah, today falls exactly 70 days after the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. This day and the days of fasting Tasyrik forbidden for Muslims. Day of Eid al-Adha is the peak pilgrimage that Muslims carried out.
  
History :
    
     The Prophet Ibrahim SAW which has long not to have children, until finally he has a son named Ishmael. At that time he was about 99 years. When her son aged about 13 years, Allah ordered Prophet Abraham to kill his son. Ismail was willing to be slaughtered because it is a command that comes from Allah. Allah ordered to slaughter his son to test compliance against all the commandments of God. After Ishmael lay down and ready for the slaughter immediately Prophet Ibrahim came and forbade the slaughtered Ismail. And Ismail was replaced by a lamb to the slaughter.

Eid ul-Adha prayer :

 
     Eid al-Adha prayers performed by Muslims on the 10th of Dzulhijjah. Eid al-Adha prayers held in the morning when the sun comes up. The number of rak'ah prayers Eid al-Adha is the second. And is usually carried out in the open field etc. Because in the mosque capacity only slightly. And after praying they shake hands and forgive each other.

 Meaning or purpose of sacrifice is:

                               

1. Is a lightening of the soul because the soul of sacrifice means we are connected with devotion to Allah SWT
2. Can cultivate sincerity, honesty and patience that lead us to love God and eventually also loves His creature.
3. Tighten the brotherhood to men as well as the attitude of solidarity is high.
4. Strengthen the courage and spirit in us.

Qurban Meat division:
 
 
The division of animal flesh (qurban) is divided into three parts.
 
1. For the slaughtered and eaten by his family.
2. For the gift to others.
3. To be given to the poor.

If a person has previously been nadzar to slaughter, then according to some scholars, the meat should not be eaten alone but is given to the poor.
